Develop, implement and support policies and procedures at the State, County, Village and School levels to eliminate underage drinking and illegal drug use.
About Us
Deerfield Cares Coalition was established in 2004 by local community members, public officials, school personnel, faith-based community, civic groups and law enforcement.
For the past 18 years we have been working diligently to bring awareness and educational activities to the Village of Deerfield. We have achieved this by offering town hall meetings and forums on topics covering heroin, JUUL/e-cigarettes and prescription drug misuse to name a few.
We’ve also held family FREE movie events under the stars where families get a free meal, popcorn and watch movies such as Beauty and the Beast, Sandlot, Zootopia and Sing. For the past 6 years we’ve also educated parents concerning marijuana through our 411 on 4/20 campaign.
FACT:
Two-thirds of teens who misused pain relievers say that they got them from family and friends, including their home medicine cabinets.
